Muhammed Ahmed Santuraki

Engr. Santuraki is a seasoned engineering and energy professional with over 18 years of robust experience in the oil and gas sector, specializing in operations, reliability, and maintenance of major energy infrastructure. He holds a Master’s degree in Oil and Gas Engineering from The Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, Scotland, and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Technology, Yola, Nigeria. He is a UK Chartered Engineer and a Chartered Member of the United Kingdom Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining. His academic and professional credentials are well complemented by his technical depth and leadership in complex engineering environments.

Engr. Santuraki’s professional experience spans both onshore and offshore operations, with expertise across refineries, LNG plants, gas-to-liquids facilities, cross-country and subsea pipelines, and gas-fired power plants. He has worked in culturally diverse and technically demanding environments across Nigeria, the United Kingdom, and the Middle East. Notably, he served as a Project Manager for QatarGas on a multibillion-dollar LNG facility producing over 12 BCF/D of sour natural gas. His leadership on this project contributed to the plant winning multiple international awards for excellence in maintenance and reliability.

In addition to his technical roles, Engr. Santuraki has held several senior administrative and strategic positions. He has served as Project Manager for the Barzan ES Project at RasGas Company Ltd., Acting Head of Corrosion Engineering, and Team Lead for Utilities and Offshore CMTs. He was previously Project Site Manager for the Escravos Gas Project under Hally Brown International/Chevron. His governance experience includes serving as a Council Member for Natural Resources with the GLG Carson Lehrman Group and as a board member of the Energy Institute for Aberdeen Highlands and Islands in the UK.

He is also the Vice Chairman of the Qatar-Nigeria Business Council, a role he has held since 2017. In this capacity, he has facilitated numerous bilateral investment discussions between Nigeria and Qatar, focusing on key sectors such as infrastructure, energy, agriculture, and hospitality. His cross-sector experience and international exposure make him exceptionally well-qualified to lead complex transaction advisory engagements, particularly in refinery and energy infrastructure projects.
