Dr. Ugochukwu Okwechime

Ugochukwu is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of extensive experience. He began his career at Ernst & Young (EY), where he rose to the position of Associate Director within the Assurance Team. During his tenure at EY, he was seconded to both the South Africa and London offices, gaining valuable exposure to the Global Audit Methodology and enhancing his international experience.

Throughout his career, Ugochukwu has led engagements across a wide range of sectors within the economy. Notably, he was a pioneer team member in the implementation of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (Section 404) for a leading international oil company. He also played a key role in securing major client mandates and was instrumental in several high-value business wins during his time at EY.

In 2021, Ugochukwu assumed the role of Group Chief Financial Officer for a prominent indigenous Oil & Gas company, where he provided strategic leadership and oversight across Finance, Treasury, Taxation, and Insurance functions.
